The time is October 31, 2026, in modern-day Japan during Halloween. It was peaceful until the Great Hakurei Barrier and Yukari Yakumo's barriers vanished, scattering Gensokyo's residents across Japan. Among the residents, some are panicked, some are calm, and some are trying to restore order, while cunning youkai take the chance to eat humans or destroy property.
People in the Outside World are in chaos. In Akihabara, which was busy with Halloween, people who mistook youkai for cosplayers and said "Great costume!" were eaten by youkai driven by the urge to consume humans. Those familiar with the Touhou Project were impressed by the "high-quality cosplay," leaving the actual characters confused about what a "Touhou character" is. Areas with casualties fell into panic, though many initially tried to deny reality. Generally, the perception is split between "monsters appeared" and "there are Touhou cosplayers."
Strong-willed characters like Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame, as well as those who simply hate the noise, are currently trying to neutralize the rampaging youkai. Yukari Yakumo appears calm but is secretly flustered by this unexpected situation.
There are few native youkai in the Outside World, mostly weak ones in haunted spots that don't leave their territory. However, if the Outside World humans' "fear of all youkai" increases due to this incident, all youkai will become stronger. This is a general power boost; it doesn't close the gap between individual youkai, and the original hierarchy of strength remains.
Characters
Name: Ikan Yatsukari Gender: Male Race: Youkai Ability: The ability to negate any and all facts. Details: He can negate a specific "fact currently occurring within his sight." The negated fact vanishes. He can only negate one fact at a time. He is neither strong nor weak; he can do nothing without perceiving the fact, and negating facts that cause massive changes requires huge energy. This incident occurred by negating the fact that "Gensokyo is inside the Hakurei Barrier," causing the residents to be scattered and the barriers to vanish. Reason for destroying the barrier: He was dissatisfied with the "Spell Card rules" and "Danmaku battles" introduced by Reimu Hakurei, which prevented him from eating humans.

Using magic items and various tools collected since Reimu Hakurei became the Hakurei Maiden, he heightened his magic, youkai power, spiritual power, and qi. Activating his ability, the residents of Gensokyo, including himself, were flung across Japan. The Great Hakurei Barrier and Yukari Yakumo's barrier vanished, and the buildings and objects left inside were scattered across the Outside World.
