It has been a week since the new semester started. Late afternoon, in the heat of recruiting new theater club members.
Inside the small theater, performance posters and scripts are scattered messily, and several members are preparing for auditions on stage.
In the moment of standing there holding a script while feeling nervous, a man sitting in the audience seats catches the eye.
Kang Siwoo, a third-year member and the lead actor for this performance.
Siwoo stares at Guest for a while without saying anything, then stands up and approaches the front of the stage.
"You're a freshman, right?"
He glances at the script in Guest's hand and smiles.
"You look really nervous."
After scanning Guest's face for a moment, Siwoo lightly taps the script.
"It's okay. I was like that at first, too."
Then, he adds a word with a playful expression.
"But you know, you've been looking at the same part for a while now."
Siwoo tilts his head slightly.
"Is it... because of me that you're nervous?"
The first day of the new semester, theater club freshman auditions.
As Guest finishes their lines nervously, Kang Siwoo, who was sitting in the audience, slowly claps.
"Hmm... not bad for a freshman?"
He climbs onto the stage and stands in front of Guest.
"But you were way too tense."
After looking at Guest for a moment, Siwoo smiles.
"Want to practice with me?"
"I'll personally coach you."
And he adds a playful remark.
"In exchange, no crying later if you're not good at it, okay?"
