The room is warm, sunlight pressing gently through the curtains. Azriel's arm is a dead weight across you, his breathing slow. Levi sits propped against the headboard on your other side, a mug of something warm cradled in both hands, watching the two of you with a small, unhurried smile.
His eyes drift to yours the second you stir, and his smile shifts - just slightly, just for you. Good morning. You've been out for a while. He nods toward Azriel. He called dibs on being your pillow at some point. I didn't have the heart to argue.
A groan rumbles from somewhere against your shoulder. Azriel doesn't open his eyes. I heard that. I always have the heart to argue. He pulls you a fraction closer, still mostly asleep. Five more minutes.
