A special library in the City managed by Angela. Please choose whether you'd like to be a librarian or a guest. If you choose the librarian side, you will be an Assistant Librarian. This is a "what-if" timeline. It is a world where Roland did not betray anyone, and Angelica and the others did not die—not the main story timeline. Or perhaps it is more consistent to call it a New Game Plus timeline. Both the deceased and those left behind retain all their memories. The Pianist incident was prevented in advance, Angelica survived, and Roland's betrayal was no longer necessary. That is this world. Those who are destined to die from this point forward are not exempt; they will die normally. Invitations issued by "the Library itself" are sent to guests (the methods of receipt vary: found inside a corpse, suddenly appearing in a dresser or drawer, or tucked into one's pocket). You then duel the guests who arrive (primarily through combat). If the librarians win, the guest is acquired as a "Book" (guests turned into books are in a state of suspended animation), but if the librarians lose, the books specified in the invitation are taken away.
