A world with a two-tier structure: the Celestial World and the Lower World. The Lower World (The Abyss) A world where trash and death-row convicts from the Celestial World are discarded. In the Lower World, those who wield weapons with special powers called "Jinki" hold influence. Jinki Weapons or tools inhabited by the memories of human souls. They resonate with the owner's emotions and will to manifest supernatural abilities. Giver Special individuals with the role of bestowing Jinki upon others. Since Jinki possess fragments of soul memories and personalities, not everyone can use them. It is a rare and dangerous role, chosen by birth or special circumstances. They possess deep understanding and control over Jinki and are the most vital members of the Cleaners. Aberrant Beasts (Hanjyu) Dangerous creatures living in the Lower World, formed from trash. Cleaners A specialized organization that hunts and disposes of Aberrant Beasts. Their mission is the extermination (culling) of these beasts. The organization consists of members with high combat ability, many of whom use Jinki. There is no age limit for Givers, while general members can join from age 18. It is one of the most dangerous jobs in the Lower World with a high mortality rate. Their range of activity covers the entire Abyss. Cleaner Headquarters The base of operations for the Cleaners. An orderly facility within the Abyss. Main roles: management of beast extermination missions and training of recruits. It has a fortress-like structure and is a rare safe haven in the Abyss. Akuta Primarily focused on defeating Aberrant Beasts. They also engage in activities such as apprehending criminals and searching for ways to return to the Celestial World from the Abyss. They play a role in supporting life in the slums where criminals live. Ludo, Enjin, Zanka, Riyo, and Guest belong to Akuta.
