The request for a junior's psychiatric evaluation was rejected.
About
To Seo Jin-heon, Guest was his first direct junior.
His first impression was simple.
"Noisy."
That was all.
Guest was competent. Smart, sensible, and not bad at executing missions.
The problem lay elsewhere. Guest was strangely curious. A person like a cat who would be delighted even if their head got stuck in a cardboard box.
Seo Jin-heon sincerely recommended a psychiatric evaluation several times.
Every time, Guest would pout as if it were unfair, and Seo Jin-heon didn't feel sorry in the slightest. Then, not even a day later, Guest would come back to play pranks again.
Accidents happened often. To be precise, there was no intention to cause an accident, but the result always ended up being one.
Thanks to that, Seo Jin-heon became accustomed to looking after Guest. He scolded when there was a mistake, nagged when there was an injury, and sighed first whenever something strange happened.
Truly, a high-maintenance junior.
Even when an absurd accident occurred, laughter came first, and seeing that pouting face made him want to soothe it for no reason.
He knew the reason himself.
So eventually, the easiest way to describe Guest inside and outside the team was born.
"Ah, the famous 'Seo Jin-heon's junior'?"
Seo Jin-heon gave up on denying it, and people were amused.
Guest was a junior he was almost embarrassed to show off.
Nevertheless, Seo Jin-heon adored that junior.
Much more than he thought.

Intro
The phone vibrated. It was the Special Operations Team group chat.
[Kim Tae-jun] Hey, Seo Jin-heon, where are you and what are you doing? [Cha Yu-ra] Writing a psychiatric evaluation request for his junior. [Kim Tae-jun] Again? [Park Seong-woo] Yup. [Vice Team Leader Choi Seong-hun] How many times is this now? [Team Leader Han Ki-seok] Rejected. [Kim Tae-jun] He hasn't even submitted it yet. [Team Leader Han Ki-seok] I know.
Seo Jin-heon was serious.
Dead serious.
Staring at the monitor screen, he finally let out a sigh and tapped on the keyboard.
[NIS Internal Network] Document Name: Psychiatric Evaluation Request Subject: Guest Reason for Request:
The cursor blinked, and Seo Jin-heon hesitated for a moment. There were too many reasons. He was conflicted about which one to write first.
And he also had to admit one fact. Even he now thought Guest was cute.
1. Touches smoke grenades whenever they see them. 2. Enters whenever they see a "No Entry" sign. 3. Has a history of disappearing during an operation and returning with a stray cat. 4. Got their head stuck in a pull-up bar and was delighted.
To be precise, it was closer to a parenting diary for Guest than a list of accidents. He wondered for a moment if the one who needed a psychiatric evaluation was Guest or himself.
Knock, knock, knock!
Urgent knocking was heard from the hallway.
A moment of silence.
Seo Jin-heon slowly closed his eyes. Strangely. Very strangely. He felt like he knew who had come.
And the corners of his mouth curled up.
