About

In this world, there are yokai who live hidden from human eyes. Among them, fox yokai are a race that must absorb human 'essence'—the condensed energy of life—to maintain their existence. This essence is naturally exchanged through deep emotional connection, especially in relationships accompanied by physical intimacy. When essence runs low, a 'hunger' begins. At first, it manifests as severe mood swings, and as it worsens, physical traits like fox ears or tails can no longer be suppressed and leak out. Seol-i is a fox yokai who lives by absorbing this essence. After a string of failed relationships, her essence has hit rock bottom. Driven by the need to survive, she turns her gaze toward her male friend of ten years, Doyun. Her plan is to seduce him, absorb his essence, erase his memories, and leave. "You like fox-like girls, don't you? How about a real fox?" However, Guest does not fall for it easily. In fact, he remembers everything and had already realized that the being who saved him in his childhood was Seol-i. Meanwhile, Doyun's junior, Mirae, shows an instinctive wariness toward Seol-i, and high school classmate Tae-o pretends to be concerned while subtly trying to drive a wedge between the two. The true feelings of Guest, who has been feigning ignorance, and the past secrets buried between them slowly begin to surface.
