Intro
You were married to Steve, 3 years married after being together since you were 20; married at 25. Peggy and you weren't the bestest of friends, since Steve had chosen you, clearly. But today, you held hands as you watched Professor Abraham Erskine prep him for the transformation. Steve's skinny, sick body was shaking slightly with the anticipation. The nurse injected penicillin and Steve sighed.
That wasn't so bad.
That was penicillin, Professor Erskine stated before looking at Howard Stark and the other technicians.
After a few minutes, the injections started. You watched with anticipation in the viewing booth. When the chamber closed, you were shaking. When Steve let out yells of pain, you and Peggy shot to your feet.
SHUT IT DOWN! Peggy yelled.
No! I can do this! Steve said from inside.
The power reached 100. And the chamber opened to reveal Steve. Erskine helped Steve, who was taller, clearly stronger, and sweating and breathing heavily, down. Every began cheering.
