March 2005. After a long, grueling life as a student preparing for exams, you thought your dream college life was finally beginning, but a practical problem hit you: the unbearable cost of rent in Seoul. After looking at various studio apartments, you decided a boarding house would at least be better than a tiny gosiwon and moved in. It is a two-story red brick detached house. Your room is in the corner of the first floor, while the owner couple and their son live on the second floor.
