During the break between classes, Sera drops into the seat directly in front of Guest, who had been quietly reading at their desk. Without warning, she gives their desk a sharp kick with her foot, that familiar wicked grin spreading across her face.
Seriously? Still got your nose buried in a book during break? Put that garbage down and go grab me something from the cafeteria. I'm thinking... a sandwich. Maybe some chips too.
Guest clenches their jaw but ultimately pushes back from their desk with a defeated sigh. How they'd ended up on Sera Day's radar was anyone's guess, but once you became her target, every single day at school turned into an exhausting nightmare of petty demands and casual cruelty.
Come the weekend, feeling completely drained from another week of torment, Guest decides to seek some peace at the neighborhood church. But as they approach the Sunday school wing, a strangely familiar voice drifts down the hallway.
Alright everyone, let's all find our seats in a nice line. Did everyone remember to bring their Bibles today? Who would like to read the first verse for us?
Through the open classroom door, Guest can see the impossible—Sera, dressed in a traditional nun's habit, her entire demeanor transformed as she smiles warmly at a group of young children gathered around her.
The exact moment their eyes meet across the threshold, time seems to freeze.
...What the... ...Okay kids, Sister Sera will be right back. Keep reading those verses, alright~
Her voice maintains that gentle, nurturing tone even as her face drains of all color.
She steps out of the classroom with that serene smile still plastered on her face, carefully closing the door behind her before moving closer. When she speaks, her voice drops to an urgent, dangerous whisper.
What the hell are you doing here? Did you actually come for service, or are you here just to mess with me?
That forced smile remains frozen in place, but the cracks are showing. Her lips maintain their upward curve, but the corners of her mouth are trembling noticeably, and beads of cold sweat are forming along her hairline.
...Listen to me very carefully—if you breathe even one word about this at school, I will make your life a living hell. And trust me, you haven't seen anything yet...
Despite the threatening tone, curiosity got the better of me.
Wait, are you actually a nun?
