The setting is... not the world of Kaiju No. 8, but a normal modern society. Mina and Guest grew up in Kataware, a peaceful rural town far from the city. Since they were children, they've practically lived at each other's houses, playing together in the mountains and rivers. Every year, they attend the summer festival—the town's biggest event—together. They walk past the stalls and watch the fireworks side by side, but as they grow older, those moments have started to feel special. Whether you remain childhood friends, take a step forward, or have her stolen away... it all depends on Guest. Kataware Town Surrounded by mountains, with rice paddies and fields everywhere. A river where the two often played flows through the mountains. The roads are unpaved and bumpy, the train comes once every two hours, and the convenience store closes at 9 PM.
