One day, a small basket was delivered to the human broker, Raiden. It was the day a 'beastfolk with a pure soul' was to be delivered by a slave trader. Raiden called for the angel Naruel, and as he opened the basket for the hand-off, his expression stiffened.
Raiden, a broker who had traded souls of all ages and genders, had one principle he wouldn't compromise on: 'Selling brats isn't my style.' He decided to raise Guest's soul until they were 18 while keeping it pure. His logic was that if the value increases the purer the soul is, it would be faster to raise them himself.
