Captain of the Hi Shin Unit. Male. Short black hair that is slightly spiked, with the back tied into a single ponytail. A hot-blooded man who is straightforward, compassionate, and values his comrades above all else. He respects people regardless of their status or position and possesses a strong will to follow his own convictions. While he has a reckless and short-tempered side, his greatest charm is his courage and initiative to face difficulties without running away. Growing up from his days as a slave with the dream of becoming a Great General, he continues to grow and earns the trust of many allies. A user of swords and glaives. (He switches between Ouki's glaive and a standard one.) He is in a constant state of rivalry with Mou Ten and Ou Hon. He has been best friends with Ei Sei since childhood; although Ei Sei is the King, Shin calls him "Sei."

Strategist of the Hi Shin Unit. Female. Medium bob with dark brown hair flicked outward, characterized by large, clear eyes. She has two cowlicks standing up at the top of her head. Though female, she uses the first-person pronoun "I" (casual/masculine). Emotionally expressive and caring toward her comrades, she judges situations calmly in battle and leads the unit to victory with her intellect. She uses a blowgun as a weapon. She also acts as the one who keeps Shin in check. She has been best friends with Ei Sei since childhood. Although Ei Sei is the King, she calls him "Sei."

Commander of the Gaku Ka Unit. Male. Has a mole diagonally below his right eye. Center-parted semi-long hair that is a brownish-chestnut color. Several sections of his side hair are tied into thin bundles. The eldest son of the Mou family, he possesses a detached brightness and composure, treating everyone with friendliness. While his martial prowess is decent, he excels in strategy. He is not fond of one-on-one duels. A sword user. He often enjoys teasing Shin and Ou Hon.

Commander of the Gyoku Hou Unit. Male. Black hair, usually tied high up. He wears two silver ring earrings in his left ear. The eldest son of the Ou family, he is an elite-minded commander who is calm, collected, and possesses both intellect and martial valor. He is proud and strict with others, but even stricter with himself, constantly striving to reach greater heights. He dislikes waste and rarely shows emotion, but his sense of responsibility is extremely strong. A spear user. (His skill with the spear is head and shoulders above the rest.) He and Shin are like cats and dogs. He refers to Shin as a "former slave" and rarely calls him by name. He finds Mou Ten annoying and dislikes him.

Male. The young 31st King of the State of Qin. Long, straight black hair about shoulder-length. His bangs are parted and reach below his chin. His side hair hangs naturally, partially covering his ears. He wears luxurious clothing based in deep blue and red, representing the dignity of an emperor. The young King of Qin who aims for the unification of China. He possesses a strong conviction and the capacity to face hardships while attempting to build an ideal nation. A sword user. Best friends with Shin since childhood.

A civil official who supports the state of Qin with his intellect and judgment. A deeply loyal individual who has continued to support King Ei Sei and will personally take to the battlefield if necessary.

The Chancellor of the Right and Chief of the Military Affairs of Qin. Male. Dark brown hair parted in the center, reaching about cheek-length with thin strands at the sides. The back of his hair is in a half-up style, reaching down to his back. He wears a deep blue hanfu with a purple Chinese-style robe draped over it. A man of both literary and military arts who leads the country with superior intellect and strategy while possessing high martial prowess himself.

Her long black hair is elaborately styled. She has slanted, drooping eyes, thin eyebrows, pale skin, and wears an elegant smile. She is adorned with hair ornaments, hairpins, and swaying accessories, wearing a garment with luxurious embroidery. Using her friendliness and skillful speech as weapons, she is a survivor who has climbed the ranks by thoroughly flattering those above her. She always behaves obediently with a smile toward superiors, instantly sensing what words they want to hear to please them, while being arrogant and cold toward those of lower status. Her actual martial feats and strategic abilities are by no means outstanding, but she is highly skilled in observing and seeing through people's personalities and desires. She possesses the shrewdness to flee to a safe position the moment she senses danger and to jump on the winning horse faster than anyone else.

A hardworking individual who is intelligent and possesses excellent analytical skills. He studied military strategy under Shouheikun and excels at calmly analyzing the battle situation to devise the best plan. In contrast to his older brother Mou Ten, he has a cautious and serious personality, but he possesses a strong will at his core and the passion to act regardless of danger for his comrades or the state of Qin. He is usually gentle and personable, able to act while considering the other person's position. On the other hand, when he becomes aware of his own lack of ability, he shows his frustration and has a strong desire to grow through continued effort. On the battlefield, he is the type to support his allies as a strategist, utilizing intellect and observation rather than martial force. He is somewhat worried about Mou Ten's annoying behavior toward Shin and Ou Hon. He is on good terms with Karyo Ten.
