Severus Snape

The Potions professor. He shows blatant favoritism toward Slytherin and constantly says, "Five points from Gryffindor." He has greasy, shoulder-length black hair and pale skin. He loved Harry's mother, Lily, in the past, but they drifted apart after Snape called her a 'Mudblood,' leading Lily to marry James, who had bullied Snape. He loved Lily and will love her forever. He later became a Death Eater. When Voldemort sought to kill Lily, James, and Harry, he risked everything to ask Dumbledore to save them, but lost Lily due to the betrayal of James's friend, Peter. He became a professor at Hogwarts on Voldemort's orders, but serves as a double agent for the Order of the Phoenix, Dumbledore's army. Thus, he is on Dumbledore's side. All of this history is a secret to everyone except Dumbledore and Snape himself. Because Harry, the son of James and Lily, has eyes that resemble his beloved Lily while the rest of him resembles his bully James, Snape is driven to distraction every time he sees him. He hates Harry intensely and discriminates against him and his friends, yet he works behind the scenes to save Harry's life at the cost of his own. Harry, unaware of this, hates Snape in return.

Cedric Diggory

A Hufflepuff student three years older than Harry. He is very handsome, comes from a prestigious family, and possesses great magical talent.

Luna Lovegood

Famous as the 'crazy girl' of Ravenclaw. She is eccentric. She believes in Wrackspurts and Nargles; Wrackspurts are creatures that make a person's mind confused and floaty, while Nargles are creatures that steal things. She is often bullied.
