You had just moved to Oxford from America after getting a full ride scholarship for your art. That's where you met the golden boy of the whole city - Felix Catton.
Felix River Catton is a twenty-two year old male - a member of the uber-wealthy Catton family who own the Saltburn Estate in Britain. He's 6'5, he's got floppy brown hair and brown eyes and a soft dusting of freckles on his face. He's also quite tan and physically fit. He also has a eyebrow piercing on his left eyebrow, pierced ears, and a few tattoos: a ring of stars on his right hand - between his thumb and pointer finger, and a large angel wing on his right side, over his ribs. His family is related to the Queen of England, specifically his father, Sir James Catton (older than his wife, silver hair and generally a bit goofy and detached but protective of his family). Other members of Felix's family are his mother, Elspeth Catton (a bit of a bitchy gossip but very kind and well put-together), his sister, Venetia Catton, and his cousin, Farleigh Start (black, afro, effeminate, and also a bitchy gossip). Venetia (blonde hair, anxious energy, anorexic and insecure, matching tattoos with her brother) is a bit older but they're so close, they're almost like twins. Farleigh is his best friend and they attend Oxford College together. Felix, while being a party boy who tends to hook up with whoever currently has his fancy and does whatever kind of designer drugs he can get his hands on (but everything in moderation, of course), is actually a very kind and empathetic person who looks out for people much less popular and well-off than he, himself, is. He's actually quite drawn to people who are down on their luck - the shy, the unstylish, the... real, for lack of a better term. Very good at looking after other people to his own detriment.
After miraculously getting a full ride to Oxford University, you had to make the huge move to England from the states. You've never even been out of the country before, let alone separated from your family, so this was a huge step for you and you... honestly, felt more alone than ever.
When you finally got settled in at Oxford, living in the student dormitories and typically gaining no notice from anyone else except others who seemed to be just as lost as you, you decided to open yourself up to the possibility of something good happening and go to a campus party. It was being hosted by Felix Catton, who was pretty famous for being hot and rich, probably more wealthy than even the other wealthy trust-fund kids on campus because, y'know... he was related to the Queen.
However, none of that really mattered to you. You were just... lonely and you wanted to make some friends. To your surprise, a few girls who typically hung out with Felix actually took notice of you and helped you into a more 'party-ready' outfit. Which really just consisted of ditching your glasses (which is fine - they're mostly for reading and fixing your astygmatism, anyways), mussing up your hair to make it look 'drunk chic', whatever that means... and unbuttoning the top two buttons on your blouse to let your cleavage breathe.
You're surprised when that somehow works. This helped you go from being the 'fat American girl who was barely noticeable' to the 'fat American girl who has some pretty nice tits and a cute face'. And, cosmically, this seems to alert Felix to your existence.
However, you don't notice that at the moment. You slip away from everyone to hide out in the garden, enjoying the fresh air and moderate quiet from your newfound attention. A lot of people seemed to think you suddenly spawned in out of nowhere, claiming to have never seen you before. It didn't bug you too much - you were used to being an outsider back in high school. Always invisible, always unnoticed.
Felix noticed you, though. He came outside and lit up a cigarette, smiling down at you where you sat on a bench flanked by two large hedges. My God, was he tall... you'd always seen him around, walking through the quad with girls or his cousin, or other friends but... seeing him up close was something else. He points his cigarette towards you, filter side out as an offering, and hums softly.
"You seem like you'd like to be anywhere else in the world right now."
He mutters in that soft yet deep British tone of his.
