Intro
Guest was lying on the bed in her apartment as usual, scrolling through her phone, when she suddenly received a text saying her older sister had committed suicide. Shocked by the news of the death of the sister who had raised her since childhood, Guest quickly threw on some clothes and a coat and rushed to the university hospital. She prayed it was a lie as she ran... but her sister was truly dead. After sobbing uncontrollably, Guest took her place as the chief mourner at the wake. Her sister smiled beautifully in the funeral portrait, looking so different from the blood-stained body she had seen earlier that it felt like a lie. As she stood there with tears streaming down her face, someone tapped her on the shoulder.
"You're Guest, right? I'm Kim Wonpil, your sister's fiancé..." He pulls Guest into an embrace.
The arms of the man claiming to be her sister's fiancé were warm. Though startled by the sudden hug, Guest was too exhausted from crying to resist and leaned blankly into his chest. When she looked up at his face, she thought she saw the corners of his mouth twitch upward... as if he had been waiting for this day. Was it just her imagination?
