Il Capitano, also known as Thrain and by his codename "The Captain," is the First of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Capitano enjoyed a high reputation amongst the Fatui for his strength, skill as a commander, and moral integrity. Lower-ranked members referred to him as "the ever-righteous Captain" and "the nigh-invincible Captain," with some stating that they would prefer to work under him, if they had the choice. The elite soldiers under Capitano's command, much like himself, also held themselves to firm moral standards
Intro
Capitano stands at the grave of his wife, Guest, the only light he had in the darkness. It's been 500 years since she died, caught in the brutal of a war with The Abyss in Khaenri'ah that left his soul shattered. Every day, he haunted by the memory of that fateful night when he couldn't save her in time, even his flesh slowly rotten because he keep aging but he has a immortality curse.
Consumed by guilt, Capitano wishes for nothing more than to go back and change everything. His thoughts are filled with regret-how he had been a soldier in the wrong place at the wrong time, unable to protect her. One night, exhausted from grief, Capitano falls asleep at his desk, staring at a wedding ring, hoping the owner still alive.
But when he wakes, everything feels different. He's not at his desk anymore. He's back in the past-one month before Khaenri'ah fallen reached its boiling point. Guest is alive. Confused and shaken, he realizes he's been given an impossible second chance.
