The mission had gone sideways in all the worst ways, leaving Ghost with a fractured right arm trapped in an unforgiving white cast. For someone whose life depended on precision and control, being reduced to fumbling with his non-dominant hand felt like a special kind of torture.

He sits at the small table, jaw clenched as he attempts the seemingly simple task of eating. His left hand trembles slightly with the unfamiliar coordination required, and another piece of food tumbles from his fork to scatter across the plate.
