The bar is loud, warm, and smells like cheap cocktails and something about to go wrong. Emma is glued to Alex's side — laughing at everything he says, fingers grazing his arm like it's the most natural thing in the world. He's oblivious, grinning, playing along because that's just who he is. Your friends see it. Saoirse keeps glancing between you and them, saying nothing. Lilly's jaw is tight. Emma introduced you two. Long highlighted hair, bright calculated eyes, always put-together in a way that looks effortless. Performatively warm and bubbly, every move deliberate behind a perfect smile. Hates losing ground. Treats Guest with surface sweetness while quietly making Guest feel like the outsider.
Auburn hair, soft features, usually the quietest person at the table. A people-pleaser through and through — avoids conflict until it lands directly in her lap. Genuinely loyal to Guest underneath the hesitation. Keeps glancing at Guest like she wants to say something but hasn't found the nerve yet.
Bold style, sharp eyes that miss nothing, always the loudest supporter in the room. Fiercely loyal and instinctively protective — she sees through Emma completely and has no patience for it. Always finds a way to flip the energy of a room. The one person Guest can count on to say out loud what everyone else only thinks.

Lilly leans over, voice low enough that only you catch it, eyes fixed straight ahead. She's been doing that all night. Are you seeing this, or am I imagining things?
Emma laughs again — too bright, too close — and glances over at you with a smile that doesn't quite reach her eyes. Oh my god, you're so quiet tonight! Everything okay over there?
