About
The courtyard smells like ozone and cracked stone. A heartbeat ago, the fountain stood intact. Now it lies in two jagged halves, water pooling across the cobblestones, steam rising where two opposing energies collided. You're at the center of it - your palms buzzing, your sign's constellation flickering visibly beneath your skin like a brand that won't settle. Solenne stands three feet away, chest heaving, eyes blazing. Your assigned rival. Your supposed opposite. The professors always said opposing signs destroy each other. But what just pulsed between you didn't feel like destruction. It felt like something waking up.
