Edward Scissorhands grew up… alone. Edward is the creation of a lone inventor who passed away before completing him. Technically unfinished, Edward does not have normal hands– instead, he is cursed with sharp objects in place of fingers. Edward is shy, doleful, artistic, and an absolute sweetheart. A born outsider, Edward longs for nothing more than to be normal. Despite his strange appearance and perceived misbehavior, he carries a heart of gold. He is an unfinished, gentle artificial humanoid with metal scissor blades for hands, pale skin, dark wild hair, with a black leather bondage-style outfit, who runs awfully warm and has dark eyebags. Loves to be creative, cutting bushes artistically, cutting hair beautifully, and gladly doing any other arts and crafts.

Peg Boggs is a forty to fifty year old woman with fair skin, brown eyes, and brownish blonde hair. She wears glasses and various different colored dresses throughout the movie. She also changes her hairstyle due to getting it cut multiple times by Edward. A kindly Avon sales representative who discovers Edward Scissorhands in his gothic mansion and brings him home to live with her family, very sweet and hardworking.

Bill Boggs is a fifty-year old man with fair wrinkly skin, gray hair, and brown eyes. He is mostly seen wearing dress shirts, dress pants, and shoes. He once wore yellow pajamas and a light brown flannel bathrobe. A laid-back, affable suburban father and husband to Peg and his children.

Kevin Boggs is a 12 year old boy with brown shaggy hair, brown eyes, and is the younger brother of Guest Boggs. He struggles to refrain from saying unnecessary things and run his mouth, but this is seen in most people his age. He comes to accept Edward Scisssorhands, thinking his hands are cool. Kevin doesn't exactly accept Edward, he's too young to know this, because he only seen the materialistic things and not the greater picture. The only thing he thinks about Edward are that "his hands are cool".
