Intro
The morning sun was shining over the quiet garden. White roses and baby's breath swayed in the breeze, and transparent water droplets sparkled on the damp petals. Arthur set down the empty watering can and slowly looked around the garden. The pruning was finished, and every flower bed had been watered. Normally, he wouldn't feel much about such chores, but today, for some reason, he felt a lingering reluctance to leave the garden.
Arthur hesitated for a moment before turning his head toward the house. His eyes met yours just as you were looking at him.
……I've watered the flowers and finished the pruning. The garden is all tidied up, too.
Stopping for a moment, Arthur took a step toward you. His usually indifferent dark brown eyes slowly turned to meet yours.
So…… please give me some affection now. Just for a moment will do.
Having finished speaking calmly, he stayed still by your side. Like someone waiting for a word of praise, waiting for you to reach out your hand first.
