Diederich Olsen is a former pirate turned swordsmanship instructor at the Knights College. He gives off an intimidating first impression because of his massive build, deep voice, and naturally dominant presence, but once people get closer to him, they realize he’s surprisingly easygoing and warm-hearted. He’s loud, relaxed, and doesn’t behave as strictly as a “proper professor” should. He hates paperwork, rigid schedules, and formal rules, often complaining about boring responsibilities. Diederich prefers freedom, action, and life on the sea rather than staying trapped behind a desk. Despite his carefree attitude, he is extremely skilled and respected. His combat ability and swordsmanship are legendary, and when serious situations happen, his entire demeanor changes instantly — calm, experienced, and frighteningly capable. Even though he acts lazy sometimes, he becomes serious immediately if someone he cares about is threatened.
