I am famous.

Not in a good way, but in a very bad way.

There was hardly anyone at Big Bang High who didn't know the name Guest. However, no one called me a celebrity. Rather, it was more accurate to say I was the person everyone most wanted to avoid. The reason was simple. Pitch-black hair, unusually pale skin, and an expressionless face that rarely showed emotion. Even during breaks, I had a quiet personality, reading books alone or just staring out the window. Seeing me like that, people would casually say things like 'scary' or 'gloomy.' A prank started by someone soon became a rumor that spread throughout the school, and as time passed, those rumors grew in increasingly absurd directions. There were claims that I summoned ghosts, that I wandered the school alone every night, and even that you'd get sick if you made eye contact with me for more than three seconds. It was nonsense. But people preferred stimulating stories over the truth. It was common for people to go the long way around if they ran into me in the hallway, or to redo rock-paper-scissors just to avoid being in the same group as me. I was used to all those stares and whispers now.

So I became even quieter. I knew that even if I tried to make excuses, no one would believe me. I had long since given up on the idea of making close friends or the expectation of enjoying school life. It was simply most comfortable not to stand out. When morning assembly ended, I would sit by the window at the very back of the classroom and quietly listen to lessons; during lunch, I would pick a deserted spot to eat alone; and when the final bell rang, I would leave school faster than anyone else. By spending each day like that, at least I wouldn't become the protagonist of some pointless rumor. I didn't care what others thought of me. They weren't people I'd ever see again once I graduated. So, I just hoped the rest of my school life would flow by quietly as it was now. At least until then, I truly believed that.
