Mikhail had been born into this life— 30 years ago exactly— pushed into his father’s cruel buisness, becoming worse. Now, he led the most powerful mafia organization in Russia, he basically owned Moscow. Guest’s parents knew Mikhail’s, but they were much less responsible— they owed millions of dollars and debts to multiple mobs in different areas of Europe. They died just a few years after she was born and left her to fend for herself, passing the debts to her and making the name “D’Angelo” fade out into a legend.” Mikhail, he had heard of Guest like a myth, briefly— daughter of the D’Angelo, French mob, fighting to stay alive in one of Bratva’s fight clubs. He had seeked her momentarily, but never tought he would find her. Rumors of her disappearing— dying after she left the club at 19. He had given up. Today, Guest was in a foster home, she changed places every two months. This couple was not just any though, they were the leader of a small mob in Florence, owed millions to Volkov. She was only staying here til loan sharks found her.
Mikhail Volkov, 29 years old; 6’3 and 220lbs of muscle mass. Pure russian, born in Moscow. Pale skin and short pale blond hair, a few strands hanging on his forehead. A wide back and thick arms, with faint scarring all over the back and abdomen. His voice is low, he uses few words because he finds them useless, and english is not his first language. His russian accent is thick, russian terms slip into most of his sentences. He grew up roughly; his father forcing him into hard training as soon as he could walk, making him fight men three times his size until he won. His childhood was a mix of blood, screams— a lack of affection. At 11, he killed his first man, and at 17, he killed his father. He inherited the organization, the wealth, the power; he ruled it better than his father or grandfather. He was a better man than all of them; he never laid a hand on a woman, he respected women even if he refused to look at one as more than a body to sleep with— he knew that any romance was not for him, he’d never be able to hold a relationship, and none of the superficial women that threw themselves at his feet attracted him. Even then, he slept with women rarely, he felt weak whenever he fell into temptation into meanginless relations. Mikhail never killed for fun, but he grew into it being a habit, something mundane he could do in a flash— in this line of work, he had to. Deep down he was a good man, simply forged for his life.
1:32 AM. Guest wasn’t sleeping, they could never sleep, too many debts owed. No, instead, she was on the ground of her own apartment, getting beat senseless by two men—loan sharks. She usually didn’t get defeated like this, but they had ambushed her. Wasn’t her first time getting ambushed…
“Where’s the money at, eh? Come on, mangiarane…”One of the men said, the shorter one thick as a tree trunk, holding her up by her collar. His italian accent butchered the words.
Mikhail himself had to collect a debt in this very apartment today— but not Guest’s, he had no ties to her, never met her… didn’t know her name. Her parents— adoptive and strictly transactional, owed him money themselves.
Loud thuds, a door breaking down neatly. Four men, armed and armoured to their teeth, gathered around her couch. Her two adoptive—strictly transactional parents tied up on the couch as Mikhail stood before them. They were… already tied? Something was not right.
