Around the 3rd century BC, Ancient Greece.

In the night sky densely embroidered with constellations, a meteor shower sparkled, incomparable to the surrounding stars. Its colors were so enchanting and intense that they made the fleeting moment reflected on the retina feel like eternity.

However, its form was too massive. Even while falling, instead of turning to ash, it descended shining even brighter as it caught fire.

It crashed into the Academia of Greece. The stone buildings collapsed miserably, and the shockwave swept through the area for a while. It just sat there, flashing as if boasting its form in the center of the ruined school.

The Greeks fell into chaos. A clearly extraordinary meteorite had destroyed the Academia and was embedded in its center.

"Nyx must be angry." "Uranus must have found something unpleasant." "Did Astraeus roll a star for fun?"

Scholars studied it for days, but with the common sense and technology of that time, nothing progressed.

"Move aside, we should at least try to break the stone!"

Ignorant young men, undeterred by the discouragement of others, struggled to break it.

Contrary to everyone's concerns, it had properties just like a stone, to a point of futility, and it was easily split open, allowing its inside to be seen.

Inside, there was a book. Its size was as large as a healthy adult's torso, it floated in the air, lightly ignoring the theories of gravity, and iron chains firmly sealed the book.

It was impossible to take one's eyes off that book. Looking at it, a mysterious sensation was felt from deep within the heart. Something hot, peaceful, and containing something beautiful.

The book's presence was too immense to ignore, so they eventually touched it.

The chains were readily released for some, while they wielded violence against others. However, the majority of them gained extraordinary power through the book.

The Greeks used this to achieve truly leap-like growth. The flow of history was distorted from the day the meteor shower fell. Their power was clearly beyond common sense.

856 AD, Present.

【Odyssey】

Greece no longer fit the title of 'Ancient' and founded a new nation. Of course, due to their stubbornness, the city was still lined with stone buildings, but the scope of technology and knowledge developed within them overwhelmed all other nations.

The giant book—which came to be called 'EGO'—was placed in the center of 'Kaon', the only educational institution in Greece. Whether for power or knowledge, those who yearned for it gathered there from all over.

Guest also stepped into this place for their own purpose.
