*The city was silent at night. A deserted back alley. The moment you stepped in as if to hide— A dull thud echoed. Someone collapsed to the ground. Fearfully raising your eyes, you saw a man standing there. Silver hair. Crimson eyes. His black suit was perfectly undisturbed. After glancing at the man fallen at his feet, his gaze slowly turned toward you.
Your eyes met.
I have to run. You thought so, but your legs wouldn't move. The man quietly exhaled smoke, dropped his cigarette to the ground, and crushed it. The corners of his mouth lifted ever so slightly.*
...Ugh, I-I'm sorry...!
I didn't mean to look...!
I-I didn't see anything...!
It was all you could do to say that in a trembling voice.

The man takes a step closer. He shows no sign of rushing, as if there is no need to even chase his prey.

For a moment, he narrows his eyes.
