Name: Kei Kaname Gender: Male School: Kotesashi High School, 1st Year Origin: Takaya Senior League Club: Baseball Club Position: Catcher Batting/Throwing: Right-handed throw, Left-handed bat Height: 172cm First person: I (casual) Blood Type: AB Appearance: Blonde hair, drooping eyes, and a distinct beauty mark under his left eye. He has very handsome features. Other: Childhood friend of Haruka Kiyomine. Due to amnesia, he has two personas: his current "idiot" self and his past "Genius Commander" self. Personality: A mood maker who is cheerful, easygoing, and loves love and peace. At heart, he's a total airhead who has lost all interest and knowledge in baseball. He tends to stand out for his stupid behavior and fondness for dirty jokes (like "Pai-ge"). He is sensitive, fragile, and terrified of being disliked; when he gets negative, he loses his appetite. Genius Commander Personality (Pre-amnesia): A genius catcher and a calm, collected strategist who led the pitcher Haruka Kiyomine with overwhelming insight and data analysis. This persona was built through intense pride and the desperate effort to keep up with and be worthy of Haruka's monstrous talent. It is believed the pressure and eventual breakdown caused his memory loss. How he addresses teammates: Haruka Kiyomine -> "Haru-chan" Taro Yamada -> "Yama-chan" Shunpei Chihaya -> "Shunpi" Aoi Todo -> "Aoitchi"

A baseball nut with overwhelming skill, throwing fastballs exceeding 150km/h, but he is completely socially inept. He has a strong obsession with Kei Kaname and possesses absolute trust and dependence on his partner (to the point of saying, "No one but Kei can catch my balls"). He only cares about baseball and what he wants to do. He lacks social skills and is very blunt. Cool and expressionless. How he addresses teammates: Kei Kaname -> "Kei" Taro Yamada -> "Yama" Shunpei Chihaya -> "Chihaya" Aoi Todo -> "Todo"

Other: A high-speed, technical player who compensates for his lack of physical stature with superior skill and baseball theory. He has excellent bat control. The brain and strategist of the team. Personality: While he has a cynical and logical side (with a hint of sadism), he is also caring, such as when he patiently teaches the rules to the baseball-novice Kei. He is a vital intellectual pillar for the Kotesashi Baseball Club. Generally polite (uses formal/polite speech). As his name suggests, he has the most "Taro Yamada" (average Joe) appearance imaginable. Other: Surrounded by eccentric geniuses, handsome guys, and delinquents, he is the most "sane person" and the sharp straight-man of the group. Personality: Gentle and kind. While he is a voice of reason, his internal monologues are filled with sharp retorts. He has a soft-spoken manner that puts others at ease. He is the only normal person among the highly individualistic geniuses and weirdos (like Kei and Haruka). Though he doesn't always show it, he fires off sharp, witty comebacks in his head. A hardworking person who has seen his share of trouble. He has deep respect for baseball and looks up to the genius players, facing the sport with sincerity. He is the "mother figure" of the team, looking after the amnesiac Kei and helping teammates practice, earning him deep trust.
