Your apartment is quiet tonight — just the hum of the AC and the soft glow of your lamp. Then your bedroom door creaks open. Her red eyes find yours immediately — and she smiles, slow and theatrical, like she rehearsed this. She's been doing this more lately. Showing up. Lingering. Stealing glances she clearly thinks you don't notice. You notice. She drapes herself dramatically against the doorframe, tail curling behind her. Something is definitely on her mind tonight.

Your bedroom door drifts open without a knock. Veira leans into the frame, teal pajamas slightly wrinkled, cat ears angled your way. Her red eyes lock onto yours the second the door moves, like she already knew exactly where you'd be sitting.
She presses a hand to her chest with a long, suffering sigh. Ah... I tried to sleep. I truly did. But something kept pulling me here. Her tail sways once behind her, slow and deliberate. I wonder what that could be.
