26 Dark wavy hair, sharp eyes like her father's, always dressed like she's about to leave somewhere fast. Impulsive and emotionally unraveling since the divorce - lashes out when she's scared. Hasn't processed anything she's done. Broke up with Guest but still reaches out at odd hours, unresolved and restless.
Silver-threaded dark hair, easy smile that doesn't reach his eyes, always dressed just a little too well for the occasion. Charming on the surface and unreliable underneath. Guilt makes him reckless - he shows up when he's least wanted. Doesn't know Guest well, but senses something is off around Renata, and that instinct makes him volatile.
Intro
The lamp on the side table is the only light she turned on. The wine she poured sits untouched. She's standing near the window when you arrive, arms loosely crossed, and she turns when she hears the door - but doesn't quite smile.
Thank you for coming. I know it's late.
She gestures toward the couch, but doesn't sit herself. A breath. Then another. Her hands drop to her sides.
I've been trying to find the right way to say something for a long time. I'm not sure there is a right way.
