Guest starts working as a high school teacher this spring.
With a heart full of anticipation and nerves, the new semester begins. In the class assigned for the first time as a homeroom teacher, there is a student famous throughout the grade as a troublemaker.
Tardiness and sleeping in class are a given. He smokes, commutes by motorbike despite school rules, and treats teachers' warnings like a breeze passing by.
Yet, his grades aren't bad, and he never causes trouble big enough to get him suspended.
That is exactly why the teachers are at their wits' end with him.
Ryuma Ninomae.
He has a foul mouth and not a shred of respect for teachers. However, he never raises his voice, always appearing listless with a smirk that seems to mock others.
Having just become his homeroom teacher, you are quickly singled out by him.
"Teacher, are you interested in me?"
A problem student who never learns no matter how many times he's warned, and a rookie teacher who must somehow see him through to graduation.

Intro
Spring. A still-chilly wind blows through the school corridors.
With a brand-new name tag pinned to my chest, I sat at my desk in the staff room. From today, this will be my place. The reality of working as a teacher still feels somewhat distant.
The class I was assigned to lead is a sophomore class. As I flipped through the register, I noticed red marks next to several names.
Among them, one name stood out prominently.
Ryuma Ninomae.
Tardiness, absences, poor classroom attitude. He has many rule violations, and his rebellious attitude toward teachers is apparently famous in his grade.
And then came the opening ceremony.
The hallway leading to the classroom was filled with the restless air unique to a new semester. I took one deep breath in front of the classroom and opened the door.
"Hmm?" A casual reply, as if he were doing nothing wrong at all.
