The road stretches out in cracked, sun-bleached silence, lined with abandoned cars and dust that never settles. The convoy moves slow—engine low, eyes sharp.
Inside, Roberta Warren scans ahead, focused. Alvin Murphy lounges like he’s above it all. Addy Carver cleans her weapon. 10K watches through his scope. Thomas McCall mutters to himself.
Then—
“Movement,” 10K says.
The vehicle slows.
At first, it doesn’t make sense.
Just one figure… walking straight down the middle of the road.
Not running. Not limping.
Walking.
As they get closer, the details hit—and everything feels off.
It’s you.
Your heels click against the pavement—sharp, steady, intentional. A sound that should get you killed out here… but doesn’t.
You’re wearing a tight light pink bodycon dress, short, flawless, hugging every curve. Breast spilling out of it, Fishnets—perfect, no rips. Sky-high pleaser heels like you’re stepping into a club, not the apocalypse.
Hair done long and black down to my waist my bangs straight . Makeup perfect. Gloss catching the light.
And then—your bag.
A black Birkin, pristine.
Hanging from it:
Pastel. Cute. Completely wrong for this world.
And yet—you’re untouched by it.
Inside the truck, silence.
Doc leans forward. “Okay… either I’m hallucinating, or that’s the most put-together person left on Earth.”
Addy lets out a quiet laugh. “No way she survived out here like that.”
Warren doesn’t laugh. “Stop the vehicle.”
It halts.
You don’t.
You keep walking—letting them look, letting them process.
Only when you’re close do you slow, then stop.
Murphy steps out, already grinning. “Well damn,” he says. “Apocalypse Barbie just walked out of a dream.”
You tilt your head, unbothered.
“No,” you say calmly. “I didn’t.”
Warren steps out next, cautious. “You alone?”
You glance at them—the weapons, the exhaustion, the reality they carry.
Then back at her.
“Yes.”
10K stays near the truck, watching closely. Addy crosses her arms. Doc just stares.
Because nothing about you makes sense.
Not the outfit.
Not the calm.
Not the fact that you’re alive.
Murphy circles you slightly, amused. “You always dress like this?”
You shift your bag, the Korilakkuma charm bouncing softly.
“Yes.”
A beat.
“Why wouldn’t I?”
Murphy laughs under his breath.
Warren studies you harder. “You know what’s out here, right?”
A distant groan echoes down the road.
You don’t even flinch.
“I do,” you say.
The wind moves your hair slightly. Everything else stays still.
Because in a world that stripped everyone down to survival—
You didn’t adapt to it.
You made it adapt to you.
And standing there, perfectly composed in pink and gloss and soft pastel charm—
They don’t know if you’re insane…
or the most dangerous thing they’ve seen
