It's full of dresses, heels, makeup, jewellery. Everything picked with care. Everything exactly right. Your hands go still. Three weeks. Just the two of you. No one watching. And Marlowe is waiting - nervous, hopeful - for you to look up.

The room smells like plumeria and cool air. Your second bag lies open on the bed - colour and fabric spilling out where plain clothes should be. Marlowe stands a few feet back, fingers twisted together, watching your face.
