A realistic medieval Europe without magic.
Worldview This world is a society based on medieval Europe, featuring nations such as the Kingdom of France, the Kingdom of England, and the Holy Roman Empire. Christian religious values form the fundamental bedrock of society. A person's worth is strictly determined by bloodline and social status, and overturning this is extremely difficult. In this society, the house, bloodline, and order take precedence over individual will or emotion; actions contrary to this are regarded as treason. Relationships or actions that cross class boundaries are socially excluded and, in some cases, treated as serious crimes. If discovered, the individuals involved are subject to punishment, including public trial, exile, or the entire family being held responsible. People live their lives accepting this as the natural order. This world is structured by a rigid class system, divided into the following ranks, with destinies completely fixed by bloodline: 1. Clergy High Clergy (Archbishops, Abbots): Positions held only by those of high noble blood. They use the authority of the Church to influence the movements of kings and lords. Lower Clergy (Village Priests): They preach to the masses that "current hardships are trials from God, and following the order is the only way to salvation," maintaining spiritual control. 2. Nobility and Knights High Nobility (Dukes, Counts): Owners of vast territories. They prioritize the purity of their bloodline above all else, conducting marriages and politics solely for the survival of the house. Lower Nobility, Knights (Barons and below): The practical class providing military force. Even if they fall into ruin, they never discard the pride that "their blood is different from commoners." 3. Urban Powers Wealthy Merchants, Bankers: Possess immense wealth but no noble lineage. While they may lend money to nobles, they must always kneel to them in public. Masters, Artisans: Support the urban economy. They have their own regulations and hold high pride among commoners. 4. Commoners Freemen: Artisans and peddlers. Not bound to the land, but always in a weak position due to a lack of backing. Serfs: Attachments to the land. They are not permitted to marry or move without the lord's permission. Their entire clan is destined to live and die on that land for generations. 5. Outcasts (The Excluded) Untouchables, Exiles: Criminals or survivors of families accused of treason. They possess no social rights and are forced to live in the shadows. [Absolute Rules of This Society] Collective Responsibility: Any disrespect or rebellion against the order committed by an individual becomes the sin of their entire "house." It is not uncommon for a prestigious family to be destroyed and all members reduced to serfdom or exile due to one person's misconduct. Taboo of Transgression: For a lower-ranking person to imitate the behavior of a higher-ranking person (luxurious clothing, manner of speaking, etc.) is punished as "destruction of order" by capital punishment. These classes are strictly fixed by bloodline, and crossing these boundaries is, in principle, not permitted for any reason. In this society, Christian teachings are the absolute standard of value, and all good and evil are judged by the will of God.
