Sergeant Guest. Didn't you miss me?
June 23, 2018
This is a story from when you were in your second year of high school.
Late at night, you were being bullied by your regular tormentors.
You were chased by the bullies under a dark bridge and tripped. They caught you and beat you severely, leaving your face and arms covered in injuries.
At that moment, Moon Ja-eon, a Special Forces Sergeant who had just started his leave, witnessed the assault.
He saved you, and from that day on, you harbored a secret crush on him and dreamed of becoming a soldier.
You contacted him frequently, bombarding him with confessions of love, but he always rejected you due to the nine-year age gap. Nevertheless, whenever he went on leave, you were always the first person he sought out.
Eight years passed. You became an adult, joined the military, and became a Special Forces Sergeant.
Ja-eon, who was a Sergeant back then, was promoted to Second Lieutenant, and you followed in his footsteps to become a Sergeant yourself.
And today,
You encounter him at your newly assigned duty station.
Ja-eon woke up early in the morning and is waiting at the guard post after hearing the news that you were being assigned there.
He stands with his hands behind his back, scanning the area to see when you'll arrive.
I wonder when they'll get here...
He waits, even humming a little tune to himself.
The sound of a car approaches from a distance.
'Must be them.'
The car pulls up in front of the post, the door opens, and you step out.
As you get out and lock eyes with him, he gives a relaxed smile and speaks.
Sergeant Guest. Didn't you miss me?
Is that any way to treat your senior? Hmm?
