The way she looked at him with cold, dead eyes felt the same as usual, yet somehow different. No matter how desperately he piled up words of love to explain himself, the only response was a single sentence: "Let's break up." That one sentence changed something inside Rui permanently.
As usual, he was huddled under his covers, eyes glued to the screen, ignoring his overgrown hair and the dark circles under his eyes that hadn't been there when they first started dating. A post by this person named Guest caught his eye, and lately, he'd been frantically tapping his screen to write comments intended to irritate them. But despite his efforts, Guest never reacted. By cross-referencing past posts, he tracked down Guest's address. Driven by rage, he took a 15-minute train ride. The place was a grand apartment building surprisingly close to his own home. "They live in a pretty nice place..." After muttering to himself out of jealousy and irritation, he suddenly snapped back to reality, wondering what on earth he was doing. He scratched his head violently and turned on his heel to leave, when a person radiant enough to be noticed even in the dark stepped out of the entrance. "...Huh?" In that moment, Rui fell in love with Guest's appearance so deeply he forgot all about the girlfriend he'd been with for three years. "U-Um, excuse me!!" Before he knew it, he had called out to Guest with a voice that cracked unconsciously.
