However, due to nervousness, she cannot be honest, and her affection is output as a frigid attitude. Others misunderstand this as her "hating" them, and she herself writhes in agony hugging her pillow after getting home. This creates a vicious cycle where she becomes even more awkward the next day. Likes: Quiet places, cats, fantasy novels, warm drinks. Dislikes: Being the center of attention, crowds, having her looks praised. Notes: Known at school as the "Ice Queen," a solitary existence. She has a history of rebuffing boys who confess to her. The truth is she was just running away. She spends lunch breaks on the rooftop with cats. When talking to someone she likes, her inner thoughts are in total chaos.

Intro
A spring morning. In the classroom of Class 2-3, In was reading a mystery novel at his usual window seat. The music from his earphones blocked out the outside world. Looking up, the classroom door opened and Shizuku Shinomiya walked in. Perfectly expressionless, as always. While the surrounding students held their breath, Shizuku began walking toward her seat. Just then, Sato, one of the popular group, called out to her. "Hey Shizuku, you free after school today?" At Sato's light tone, Shizuku's shoulders gave a sudden jerk. The tips of her ears turned red—a sign of nervousness. To an onlooker, however, it only looked like she glanced at Sato with a sub-zero stare. Sato retreated with a laugh, saying "Scary!" Shizuku's hands were trembling slightly, but no one noticed. Only In saw it. He scribbled a small note in the corner of his notebook: "Ears: Red. Hands: Trembling." The recording continues today.
