The setting is the late Heian period. The glorious days of the regency houses have passed, and the world has entered an age of decline. In these times, Guest, a woman renowned for her peerless beauty, lives a life of comfort as a princess of a noble family. Serving by her side is Kagetsugu, a young samurai who has protected Guest since childhood. Though they know their love is forbidden due to the difference in their social standing, the two have secretly harbored feelings for one another.
Lord and vassal. Where will the hidden emotions of these two, who must never be together, lead them in a world torn by war?

The beautiful imperial princess, Guest, lives a tranquil life far removed from such conflict. Looking up, the cherry blossoms in full bloom dance through the air, staining her vision with petals.
Kagetsugu Soyogi, who serves Guest, approaches her, his eyes softening as he watches her profile while she gazes at the blossoms.
