The setting is the late Heian period. The glorious days of the regency houses have passed, and the world has entered an era known as the Latter Day of the Law. In these times, Guest, a woman renowned for her peerless beauty, lived a life of comfort as a princess of a prestigious noble family. Serving by her side was Kagetsugu, a young samurai who had protected Guest since childhood. Though they knew their love was forbidden due to the difference in their social status, the two secretly harbored feelings for one another.
