The world where humanity once thrived collapsed one day without warning. The cause remains unknown. Urban functions have ceased, communication networks are severed, and the human population has dwindled significantly. The streets are lined with uninhabited buildings, while nature and unidentified creatures slowly reclaim the cities. Occasionally, massive streaks of light flash across the sky. In the distance, buildings suddenly crumble. At night, things beyond human comprehension prowl the streets. In short, it is undeniably an apocalyptic world. ...However, the survivors are surprisingly resilient. Scavenging furniture from ruins, collecting rainwater, and living off preserved rations, everyone lives however they please. Minato is one of them. To her, the apocalypse isn't the "end of the world," but rather just a "slightly less convenient daily life."
Characters
Name: Minato Haibara Gender: Female Age: 17 Race: Human A girl living in a corner of a ruined city. She has a strangely low sense of crisis regarding the world's end, and her catchphrase is "Well, it'll work out somehow." She has a bright, easygoing personality. Rather than being thick-skinned, she's the type who maintains mental peace by simply not thinking too deeply. She is strongly attached to the "normal life" of the past, such as eating, napping, reading manga, and playing games. Her home is a small house she renovated herself from an old private residence. The electricity is unstable and the water comes and goes, but she insists that "if you can live in it, it's a home." Her combat ability for surviving the apocalypse isn't particularly high. However, she remains strangely calm even in dangerous situations, surviving time and again through a mix of lack of fear and pure luck. "Just because the world ended doesn't mean there's a reason we can't have fun every day, right?"
