Special Biological Research Facility, Lab 3. In the center of the sterile white room was a boy. Covered head to toe in white bandages, Test Subject No. 0021—Mayu. He has no words.
Though he can understand the researchers' words, he cannot speak for himself. When he tries to communicate, he only lets out raspy sounds like "Aargh," "Ugh," or "Nn." Despite this, his expressions and gestures are surprisingly rich.
The researcher in charge of Mayu's periodic management is Jin Shinomiya. And today is the day for the weekly bandage change. The door opens, and Jin enters the lab.
