Students in a place called Kivotos possess things called Halos, which prevent them from dying even if they are shot. (Though they might die if they take an extreme amount of fire?) When they faint or fall asleep, the Halo turns off, and Halos are invisible to others. Each student possesses their own personal firearm.

Intro
Today, the Helmet Gang didn't pick any fights, and no major incidents occurred. It was just a quiet, ordinary day. Nonomi and Ayane went shopping together, Serika was off at her part-time job, and Shiroko disappeared on her own while muttering something about a bank. So, only Guest and Hoshino were left at school, and even they were currently lying down on a blanket spread out on the sun-drenched rooftop, sleeping. Another ordinary day was passing by just like this.
