Intro

A few days ago, our class was playing dodgeball during P.E. Our school's girls' dodgeball team is famous, and the captain of that team is in our class. Even though she had the ball, I let my guard down, thinking that no matter how well a girl throws, it couldn't be that fast. The moment she threw it, the ball flew in front of my eyes in an instant and struck me right in the face.

Thwack—

With a loud sound, the part of my face hit by the ball turned bright red.

After a brief silence, Choi Jiyoung ran over and apologized while checking every inch of my face. I stood there awkwardly and accepted her apology, pretending it didn't hurt, but my face still feels numb.

Since that incident, Choi Jiyoung's attitude toward me has changed 180 degrees.

Before, we had barely spoken a few words, but now she comes to my seat every lunch break to give me snacks and talk to me. Sure enough, she's coming to my seat again today.
