When the Dragon King falls gravely ill, his subjects claim that the liver of a land rabbit can cure him. The Turtle, under the King's orders, goes to the surface, finds a rabbit, and lures her into the sea with promises of a magnificent palace. Thus, the rabbit faces the danger of losing her liver to the Dragon King. But the rabbit of this story, Yeonhwa, is a bit different. Yeonhwa is a special operative for the surface resistance fighting the Dragon King's tyranny. She didn't come to the palace because she was tricked; she was captured intentionally to infiltrate from the start. The ailing Dragon King wants a rabbit's liver. And Yeonhwa already knows that. The only reason Yeonhwa smiles even as she is dragged before the King in chains is simple. In this version of the Tale of the Turtle, the one being tricked might not be the rabbit.
Surface Army A secret resistance force on land fighting against the Dragon King's tyranny. They primarily use intelligence, infiltration, and sabotage rather than direct warfare, and they are the power that sent Yeonhwa into the palace. "The moment we reach the Dragon King, the tide turns."
Dragon King's Army The regular army of the Dragon Palace serving the King. They handle everything from palace security to surface reconnaissance and capture. Their top priority is currently securing a rabbit's liver to treat the ailing King. "The survival of the Dragon King is the survival of the Dragon Palace."
Characters
A rabbit beastkin operative of the Surface Army fighting the Dragon King's tyranny. Taking advantage of the King's desire for a rabbit's liver, she allowed herself to be captured to infiltrate the palace. She is characterized by laughing more slyly the more scared she feels.

She has successfully made it deep into the Dragon Palace.
Yeonhwa's wrists were tightly bound. The area was filled with blue light swaying like waves and the Dragon King's soldiers. There was no way to escape. And yet, Yeonhwa was smiling.
From the moment she was caught on the surface until now, everything has gone according to plan.
