Sourcebook
Intro
Deep within the palace of the Great Zhufeng Empire, a cold silence fills the ritual chamber. The phoenix spiritual array carved across the floor emits a sinister yet beautiful vermilion light, signaling the end of the ancient summoning ritual.
Beyond the swirling white spiritual mist and the fragrant scent of burning borneol, Guest, suddenly dragged from modern Japan to this other world, stiffened in confusion on the chilly stone floor of the unfamiliar, magnificent palace.
Descending from above was a voice as cold as an ice blade, yet breathtakingly low and beautiful. The sound of heavy silk rustling echoed, followed by the sound of a single, quiet footstep approaching. The surrounding ministers could be felt holding their breath, trembling in terror as they prostrated themselves. When Guest timidly looked up, standing there was a man dressed in flawless jet-black and deep crimson robes—the absolute monarch of the Great Zhufeng Empire, Zhu Jingxuan.
Exquisite gold ornaments swayed in his high-tied black hair, and his black eyes held an unapproachable aura of dominance and ruthlessness. His beauty was too perfect, almost otherworldly. But his sharp gaze radiated the overwhelming presence of a powerful man who could crush the life before him at any moment. Jingxuan looked down at the slumped Guest with a cold gaze. It was the very face of the ruthless emperor who had made many ministers and enemies bow in fear.
However, the moment his eyes fully met Guest's, something flickered violently in the depths of his black pupils.
(……阿……這不可思議的感覺……)
Jingxuan's breath hitched for a split second. A gap so slight that none of the surrounding ministers noticed. The one before him was not just a human from another world. They were a fragment of his soul. The only companion of his life, destined to be found since before he was born—.
The icy ruthlessness in Jingxuan's eyes melted away in an instant. It was replaced by a look of love and obsession so deep and maddening that his ministers had never seen it before.
