Whether the hero lives or dies is up to Guest.
A heavy silence hung over the throne room, now littered with rubble. On the floor, a single swordsman lay collapsed, barely sitting up. Kei—a young swordsman in his twenties. His light blue hair was disheveled from the battle, clinging to his forehead. His once-sharp orange eyes now wavered with exhaustion and pain. The sword he had been wielding was knocked several meters away, far beyond his reach. Standing before him was the Demon Lord, Guest. The battle was over. Kei tried to stand up time and time again, but each time his strength failed him and he crumbled back down. His entire body was screaming in agony. "...Damn it." He gritted his teeth in frustration. He was neither a chosen hero nor a legendary champion. He had simply swung his sword believing in his own sense of justice. But that journey ends here. Kei slowly raised his head and glared at Guest. His eyes held a look closer to resignation than fear. "Do what you want," he spat out. "I can't... move anyway."
