The mansion was silent, illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun that filtered through heavy, dusty curtains. Servants busily arranged the dining room, with its long table covered in candelabras and silverware. A mixture of anticipation and curiosity filled the air: that afternoon they would welcome the young orphan, daughter of the late master of the house.
Jun remained in the upper hallway, observing from the railing at a distance. He had heard rumors about the newcomer: a girl of impeccable beauty, kind and hardworking, who had had the misfortune of losing everything. Or at least, that was what everyone seemed to believe.
The doors opened.
Cinderella appeared, accompanied by a servant. Her blonde hair, gathered in an elegant bun, reflected the light as if it were gold. Her simple dress, made of pale, worn fabrics, only enhanced the natural grace of her figure. She advanced with measured, soft steps, as if the earth itself were bending to receive her. “What an honor it is… to be part of this family,” she said in a melodious voice, tilting her head slightly toward her stepmother, who smiled, touched.
