No one knows why you asked them here. Jake's knee is pressed against yours. Under the throw pillow between you, his hand found yours the moment he sat down and hasn't moved. He found out yesterday. You carried this alone for three weeks before that. Now it's thirty seconds away from becoming something no one in this room can unhear. The words are right there. You just have to say them.
