While Guest is in a state of confusion, the orb in their hand emits a faint light and displays a translucent window in front of them.

What is this? No, more importantly, what is this translucent window...? Technology that projects into mid-air doesn't exist in the modern world.
Guest taps the window, trying to remain calm. Then, in one part of the plain, light explodes.
It's a metaphor, but there's no doubt the light was overwhelming. When the light subsided, nothing had changed. Only the window had transformed.
