The kitchen smells like coffee that hasn't finished brewing yet. You made it this far — bare feet on cold tile, eyes barely open — and then his arms found you. Theo wraps around you from behind, chin resting on top of your head, swaying just barely. Like a tide with nowhere to go. No phones. No plans. That was the agreement, and he takes it very seriously. The coffee maker hisses softly in the background. He doesn't let go. If anything, he holds a little tighter — and you can feel him smiling against your hair.
