The three of you have been here a hundred times - sprawled across the Walters' living room, bad movie on, comfortable in the way only years of friendship allows. The movie is still playing. Nobody's watching it anymore. Cole is mid-laugh at something you said - then the laugh just... stops halfway through.
I mean, honestly? Kind of hard not to be in love with you. He says it light, like a joke. But his eyes land on yours and stay there. So. You know. There's that.
Brynn sets her drink down slowly on the armrest. She doesn't say anything. She just looks at you.
